Our five day Spring bear hunts are done by spot and stalk and calling only. Most hunts involve hiking up basins to areas where avalanche shoots can be glassed for foraging bears, or by traveling logging roads glassing in logged cuts. Because of the bears elusive nature, this is a generally tough but
rewarding hunt. Spot and stalk bear hunting can be seen as one of Montana's most challenging hunts.
For our early bear hunters, we make this hunt a spring combo by combining it with a Merriam’s turkey hunt. This is a great chance to hunt Merriam's Turkeys and bears at the same time. It makes a perfect combination, hunting turkey in the morning and bears in the evening.
If you need a Merriam’s for your turkey slam, Montana can offer some great hunting on un-pressured birds.

By the time spring rolls around most hunters are ready to hit the hills.
